The adventure continues!!!

Here we go again!  This will be the blog where we will trace our journey to China and back and the preparation up to the trip that will unite our little girl in China with our family.
It has been a year since "Gotcha Day" in China when Sasha was physically placed in our arms.   This week as we fondly remembered that amazing day we also were blessed with exciting news about our adoption of Zoe Mei Liette.  Our dossier (paperwork) for Zoe was sent to China on August 1 and we were officially logged in at the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) on August 5!!!  We were beginning to wonder when we would receive our LID (log in date) and assumed the Beijing Olympics in August had slowed the process down.  So this was very good news.  At this point we do not know who Zoe is or anything about her.  Sometime in the next couple of months we will receive her picture and a brief medical report (this is known as the "referral").   We will acknowledge on paper that we accept the "referral" and before we know it we will be on our way to China again!
As we pray for this new life that God has called us to bring into our family we reflect on the wonder of His plan for our lives.  Not only have we been blessed with three amazing children in Brady, Mikelle and Sasha, but God is also entrusting us with another life.
"It is not flesh and blood but the heart which makes us fathers and sons."
Johann Schiller
What a beautiful picture this paints of an adoptive family - brought together, not by blood, but through God's sovereignty and love, nonetheless!
This past year with Sasha has been an incredible 12 months.  She has touched our hearts in ways we would never have imagined.  As Colossians 1:17 says, "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."   This has been shown to us repeatedly from even before we travelled to China.   And so now we once again trust our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to bring another special little lady into our life.
"God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with."
Billy Graham
We invite you to follow us on our journey to bring Zoe home.

I am so excited for you and your family and for Zoe Mei! She is so blessed to have you and you will have many bountiful blessings to have her. May God bless you for your obedience and I pray you will be in each other's arms very soon.
